Hey Everyone!
Ever find yourself having troubles with identifying certain ranks on our network, or just get bored and want to gain some more server knowledge? Well he's a great thread and source of information for you!

This guide is made to introduce our rank system, responsibilities, and general information regarding all ranks! Each rank will have a well-written description of what they do, how it is achieved, etc. Please leave any suggestions or feedback below!

Member: This is the default and first rank you will receive on the server. Anyone that first joins the server will automatically have this rank. This rank has limited perks, but don't worry, you can still have lots of fun on our server!

★ Premium Ranks ★

Emerald: Emerald rank is a rare purchasable rank that releases every once in a while. Only a certain amount of players are allowed to buy the rank for a specific time period. Check out the shop, http://store.orionmc.net/ for more information when it's out!

Diamond: Diamond rank is the highest Premium rank on the server. You can purchase this here. This rank consists of the most amount of perks from flying in lobbies, to more map votes in Survival Games! This rank can also be given to some content promoters that don't directly meet the requirements for VIP at the Owners' discretion. View more @ http://store.orionmc.net/

Gold: Gold rank is the second lowest Premium rank. Don't worry though! It still comes with some amazing perks. Purchasing this rank or any other premium rank allows you to contribute and help make our server better! This rank does have limited perks, however it has a shiny gold name, and more! View more @ http://store.orionmc.net/

Iron: Iron rank is the lowest Premium rank, but it still comes with some awesome perks. You will be able to have a silver colored name in chat, tab, and above your head, as well as get priority join power and extra votes in SG Games! View more @ http://store.orionmc.net/

★ Staff Ranks ★

Moderator: Moderators are the back end of the server. They work extremely hard to handle the moderation side of the server (i.e. punishing rule breakers, answering report abuses, etc). They are here to punish hackers and provide you with a safe and enjoyable environment! These are the people you can always go to for assistance. You can apply for Moderator here!

Sr. Moderator: Senior Moderators are Moderators that have worked extremely hard at both moderation, but also contributing at higher levels towards the community. This rank can be achieved by showing extreme dedication, standing out, being extremely helpful, and helping fellow Moderators out. Senior Moderators are mainly in charge of handling Punishment Disputes, Moderator Applications, Interviews, and Moderator Training(s). They also oversee the Moderation team to ensure everyone is following the rules and do their job correctly. From time to time, Administrators will also hand some side-projects to the Senior Moderators for a helping hand. If you ever need to report a Moderator, feel free to contact a Sr. Mod and let them know of the issue.

Administrator: Administrators are the facilitators of the community. They are the direct communication line between the community and the Owner(s). Administrators each have their own individual tasks. The Admins all work together to keep the community and server balanced, working with the Owners to keep all the game modes up and running as well as brainstorming new ideas. The Administrators also will assist in handling VIP Applications or dealing with promoters. Achieving the administrator rank is quite a challenge obviously as you don't just need to possess high moderation skills, but also being able to work with a team, handle higher-levels jobs, be able to communicate well within the community, and be extremely dedicated. The people with the administrator team have worked extremely hard to get where they're at.

If you ever need to report a Senior Moderator, contact an Administrator to handle the situation. As well as if you ever want your forum username changed, feel free to post on their wall or send them a private message!

Developer: Developers...wow. There is too much to say for the responsibilities of a Developer. Developers work closely with the Administrators and Owner to ensure everything is running smoothly and there are no bugs. Here at Orion we pride ourselves in keeping the reputation of fixing bugs extremely quick. The Developers create all the plugins that are used on the Orion Network and manage the gamemodes hosted here. If you ever find a bug on the network, feel free to report it.

Owner(s): The Orion Owners oversee all operations on the network. They work with the Administrators and Developers to coordinate new game modes, bug fixes, ideas, etc. They are also in charge of hiring new Administrators to assist with handling higher-level jobs. Owners generally deal with the financial side of the server, by gaining support from all the lovely donations! Each Owner has a specific job or role. If you ever find an administrator that you'd like to report, feel free to send TheLastGapple a DM regarding the incident. The Owners should only be contacted if the severity level is extremely high.

★ Special Ranks ★

VIP: VIPs mean exactly what it stands for; "Very Important Person". These are mainly promoters of Orion providing advertisement and promotion for the server. They must have 5,000+ followers on Twitch or subscribers on YouTube in order to achieve this rank. VIPs also have access to all donor perks and even a little bit more! You're likely to find some awesome VIPs recording or streaming on our network!

Contributor: Hmm, sounds interesting doesn't it? Well that's because it is! Contributor rank is exactly what it says. This means you are a "Contributor" of Orion. Earning this rank can be quite tricky, but can still be done. You must heavily contribute to the Orion Network by a few ways, i.e. being a retired Sr. Staff member or making an accepted map on the Orion Network. We like to limit this rank for as few people as possible, however there is how to achieve it!
*The rank itself is not applicable.*

Thank you for reading and I hope this informed you about how our rank system worked!
Have a wonderful day!

Can't we earn that in another ways such as helping the staff team with reports?

Love the contributor rank, its different to the usual 'retired' or 'builder' ranks. Thank you for making this post, really informative!

I believe the rank is reserved only for Map makers, Close friends of Admins or Owners, and retired Sr. Staff. The rank is very limited and rare therefore I don't think you can earn the rank by helping the staff team with reports.

P.S. Nice thread Justin
